I would just like to start by thanking the rest of the BFLG that I met last Friday. It was so refreshing to meet a group of such enthusiastic, inspiring and helpful people.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Stella's illustration of BFL in the morning made me realise how much potential there is to use it within the organisation I work for. I picked up so many new ideas from the other delegates chatting to them over lunch.
I was then able to raise an item for discussion.
I need a suitable icebreaker for a particularly cynical group but that I need to obtain some initial information from the students.
The ideas that were put forward were sending the students a questionnaire prior to attending along with a joining letter. The use of posters around the room when they arrive aband changing the room layout. I will be incorporating the ideas in the next course in May and wil let you know how I get on.
