Hi all,
If you get a chance to listen to this radio 4 programme about technology based learning revolutionising the old chalk and talk, trainer-centric learning models then it's well worth it.

It's on iplayer so may only be around for a few days.
Long and short of it is that some big organisations such as BT are really embracing technology as a way to deliver learning directly to people as and when they need it.
Even more exciting is that people are then able to create their own learning and share it without it going through a corporate checking process. Is this going to lead to learning anarchy or inappropriate or inaccurate information?
Not according to SABA - it depends how you balance the formal information with community and shared knowledge.
It may mean that organisations still 'impose' some types of training face to face e.g. H&S, corporate messages etc -so in my opinion that makes it even more important to make those real opportunities to demonstrate brain friendly principles to engage people in the process.
Peter Butler of BT thinks there is still a requirement for excellent face to face training whilst improving access to learning at all times.
SABA suggest that this may change corporate 'command and control' leadership into a more open, sharing culture in some organisations.
What are your views on e-technology and learning? What are the views of our children and the younger generation?
Fascinating and very exciting stuff.
Warm regards,
STella Collins
