Whilst I was preparing for this Fridays meeting it came back to me how different we all are in what we learn and how we learn it.

For instance I am completely bemused by the numbers that keep going around about the financial situation; a billion here, a trillion there and I just get lost with all the noughts and have no idea what they are talking about.

Yet it's not all numbers that cause me problems because I'm very good at retaining phone numbers; I don't need speed dial on my phones because if it's a number I call regularly then I can recall and dial the number faster than I can access the speed dial. And I've just learnt my daughters new mobile number very easily.

I know motivation helps me, sequencing is important, context and patterns work.

What do other people find easy to learn and what is it that makes those things easy for your brain to acquire?
