Book your placeBFLG S

Social Media is fast becoming the talk of the decade!! With companies beginning to explore and implement creative ways of using social media for employee engagement and customer service, learning professionals must sit up and take notice.
With the vast majority of learners owning a mobile phone, a twitter account, a facebook page and maybe even a blog, we now have even more diverse ways to engage with people through technology - but how can we do it in a brain friendly way?

In this short session we will be exploring the world of social media and the benefits its brings to facilitators and designers of learning, the learners themselves and the businesses they work for. Whether you're a Social Media novice, practitioner or expert you will walk away from the session having gained a new perspective and creative ideas to introduce Social Media using Brain Friendly Learning techniques.

By the end of the session we will have:

•    Explored the various forms and faces of Social Media
•    Defined the benefits of using Social Media from a learner, facilitator, designer and business perspective
•    Developed ways of using Social Media when practising Brain Friendly Learning before, during and after a learning event
•    Created strategies for overcoming challenges and barriers faced when using Social Media either as an external or internal learning consultant
•    Planned ways of using Social Media to enhance your personal brand

About Carly  Morgan  and Stella Collins
Carly is passionate about learning and helping others shine. She believes learning should be enjoyable and meaningful with an absolute focus on results. Having dipped her toe in the 'Social Media Pool', she is fast becoming a facebook and twitter addict and would love to explore how we can use Social Media in a Brain Friendly Learning way, with you!
Stella is naturally sociable and has taken to social media like a duck to water.  She is fascinated by the impact it has on encouraging people to learn – even when they think they’re not learning - which is a real beauty of brain friendly learning.  But she’s not quite embraced Facebook for work yet so please help her by sharing your thoughts, ideas and challenges about the whole topic.
